When: Saturday, Sept 18 at 6:00 pm
Where: 515 Riverside Dr. W, Apt 1505 (Grace's place)
What: FOOD! Dinner is provided and just general get to know you, get to know your spiritual background, and what you want out of this group.

If you can't make it we'll send out details on what we talked about, but if you want to share your thoughts, send an email (specifically what your schedule is so we can figure out when is a good time for everyone to meet)

Hi S3-ers!

To everyone interested in learning more about medical careers, we’re presenting the first S3 Event: How to Choose a Medical Specialty! This talk will be held on Tues, Sept. 21st @ 11:30-12:30 in M146(L) OR MEB1115(W). Dr. Eric Wong and Pam Bere (Student Affairs Office) will be there to share their experience and offer advice on how to choose a medical specialty. Hi everyone!

Our first Stitch & Bitch meeting will be on Wednesday September 22 from 7-9 pm, so please save the date! This should be a fun evening with lots of snacks, a chance to meet all the new members, and to learn some new skills! Timing is flexible so if you need to arrive late or leave early, no problem!

If you will need supplies please send me an email at knichols2013@meds.uwo.ca - otherwise please feel free to bring your own projects/materials! I will send out an email closer to the date to let you know where the meeting will be held.

The purpose of this event is three fold. 1) To have a relaxed social event where we can all meet each other. 2) To share what we have planned for the year and hear your input for what you want from PBIG. And 3) To eat delicious desserts and drink yummy coffee/tea!

Stephanie Austin from the 2nd year class has kindly offered her gorgeous appartment for this event. The address is 71 King Street Unit 911 (Buzz 7980 at the door).

Come out to the first annual Global and Ecosystem Health Interest Group meeting on Thursday, Sept 30th @ 11:30am, room M190 in London and MEB 1109 in Windsor. This is the place to be if you want info about global and ecosystem health projects!

Some projects we will be working on this year are:
- Advocacy Days
- Global Health Newsletter
- Global Health Website + Calendar
- Reusable Mug Program/ Compost Program
- Global Health Speaker Series

Western Lifeline (main campus pro-life group) has organized a dinner and speaker event. Three excellent guest speakers will address palliative care as an alternative to euthanasia.

September 30th. Coctails 6 pm. Roast Beef dinner 7 pm. Tickets $20 each. PBIG will have a table and will organize rides from campus. If you are interested contact Alanna: aborris2013@meds.uwo.ca.
