Canadian Federation of Medical Students Global Health Program
The Global Health Program of the CFMS was created to provide medical students with global exchange opportunities, awareness of global health issues and an opportunity to exchange ideas and network with students across the country. The Global Health Program operates locally, nationally and internationally with National Officers in the areas of global health education, advocacy, environment, partnership, reproductive and sexual health, and human rights and peace. The Global Health Liaisons Jr and Sr. work at each medical school to implement National Programs and the Global Health Advocates lobby for an advocacy theme. The GH program is involved in Predeparture training, the Mentorship program and coordinate close to 100 international clinical and research exchanges for Canadian medical students.
