Dear Prospective Students,
First off, CONGRATULATIONS! Being awarded a medical school interview is a great achievement in itself, so pat yourself on the back because you wholeheartedly deserve it. Secondly, welcome to Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, we’re glad to have you!
I consider Schulich to be a place of opportunity with a little something for everyone. Our curriculum is constantly evolving to suit the needs of our students. For example, we utilize a range of teaching methods including small group sessions, large group lectures, and independent learning studies to suit a variety of learning styles. And there’s no need to worry if you are having trouble with the material, your teachers and classmates are there to support you and help ensure that you understand everything clearly.
Do you have a cool initiative for a charity fundraiser, class trip, or Schulich – wide club? With our amazing team of administrators, enthusiastic student body, and dedicated facilitators, that idea can become a reality. The people at Schulich truly go out of their way to make sure that their students are provided with the best experience possible.

The greatest part of this experience has yet to come: meeting the students at Schulich. You will not find another group of people who are more excited about their school. The feeling is contagious. All of the classes are welcoming, supportive, and accepting of everyone because we all have unique and special personalities. Whether it’s a classmate’s birthday, fundraising for Movember, or during Clinical Skills days, the class is always ready to rock.
Future 2016s, this is both an exhilarating and busy time for you. Please take a moment to really appreciate all the hard work and effort you have put in to get to this point. You’ve done the work, so don’t forget to reward yourself. Good luck with the interview process, it can be a stressful, daunting task, but you’ll make it through by just being yourself. Schulich is my home, so welcome, and hopefully it will be yours too.
Good luck on interview day and see you then!
