Welcome Schulich students to the 2007 Summer Opportunities Catalogue! As medical students, you have a host of summer opportunities at your fingertips- including many that were not accessible in your previous programs. There's definitely a bunch out there, but they are often sent randomly out in an email or presentation, leading to disorganized planning and missed opportunities. So that's why we've created this guide for you! The Summer Opportunities Catalogue aims to match you with the best possible summer opportunity, in a streamlined, organized way.

In this guide you will find opportunities organized in two ways. First, by location: in Ontario, available Nationally (including various awards) and internationally. Second, by type: generally they have been grouped into Research, Elective and Miscellaneous.

So...how might you use this guide? Well we have general information about our opportunities, as well as many entries have feedback from upper-year students. Use this to guide you towards opportunities that suit you best. The compilers tried to choose opportunities that were reputable, but buyer-beware! Secondly, even if you have your heart set on one specific opportunity, please take advantage of this guide to look around! I guarantee you will be surprised by some of the doors that are open to you. Something that may have not even been on your radar could be come your new favourite choice!
